PortDeBras ® is carried out with basic moves coming from Dance. Extreme importance is given to the right integration between shoulders, spine and hips. These three systems constantly work together and make the global movement of human body more or less fluid and coordinated.
Good parameters of strength and flexibility in these three levels let the person better develop normal dialy activities. PortDeBras ® prepares the body for everyday life by using the advantages given by Dance Conditioning.
Routines will start most of time with easy variations of 2nd position, écarté and demi plié, where arm combinations are added. Shoulders work from the beginning of the session, integrating its function with the rest of body. Legs flow from plié et demi plié progressively adding open chain moves such as attitude, rond de jambe, etc… The sequence becomes richer and articulate by keeping a high degree of amusement and motivation.
