Session structure

A standard session starts with a Warm Up that usually consists of easy Ballet arm combinations with static leg positions. Range of motion is progressively increased, as well as leg patterns that slowly become more dynamic.

Sometimes Vladimir and Julio combine others kind of exercises taken from Power Stretch routines, or use different ways to understand an arms and shoulders workout by proposing newwarm up sequences. PortDeBras ® background comes from different disciplines which makes all of the exercises interesting and motivating.

The main part of the class is used to repeat all of the combinations from the top in order to create a sort of dance. It resembles a mix between a conditioning routine and real dance choreography.
From the first time they practice, students cannot believe how complete and at the same time how beautiful an experience it can be!

Depending on the type and number of session, the last part of the class can also include floor work. This part is referred to as “Par Terre” by both creators and is a way to integrate exercises into articulated sequences on the floor.
After this, the workout often finishes with whole body stretching (legs, pelvis, spine and shoulders) or of the main important body segments involved during the session.
